I noticed for the first time today that when i turn a corner at a slow rate of speed that my wheels seem to shudder. Is it a tie rod end or warped brake rotor or what? I'm going to try to repair it tommorrow

No it is not a tie rod, no it is not a warped rotor.

You have a limited slip rear and the clutches are shot.

Or

You have an open rear with a damaged spider gear.

I'll be damned. Been pondering that same problem on an 88 4X4 I inherited. Has a limited slip rear end in it. Makes sense, now..

Don't know why but this was hilarious to me no offense! It was just epic:p

Did they even put limited slips on 2wd Rangers from the factory?

ads_.......back in the day, we drained the diff.---put in automatic trans. fluid---drove it for a day or two---drained the A/T fluid---re-filled the diff. with the correct gear lube.....

does that method still help solve the problem?

Yes. Also, who knows what may have been added. Look at my truck, most of the parts on it weren't even available for any vehicle the year it was built.

I haven't ever tried. If I understand what the ATF does though, the friction modifier should perform the same function on the friction material on the clutches. Since the whale sperm stays in there all the time I would think the ATF method would be redundant.

Whale sperm? In my rear end? Oh, noooooooooooo...

I'm not going swimming ever again...
