i have a 1991 ford ranger supercab 4x4, and i was going to buy some 31" cooper discoverer stt's, but then i got to thinking... if i buy some 33's and cut the fender abit will they fit w/o ne rubbing, ill mainly be doing, trails, and mudding... and i was wondering if they did rub would they cut the tire up?:icon_welder:

31's dont even fit without a lift...you'll have to do a LOT of trimming to stuff 33's on a stock rig.

4" lift , 31's lots of room 33's without cutting no

they fit on a 1st gen with minor trimming to the fender corners, the second gen its quite a bit more trimming becuase of the bumper setup

yeah well the trucks got 31's on it now, with no fender cutting

welll actualley i bought the truck, from a private owner for 700, cuz it had some probs with the motor, i just had to replace the rings, and get timing done, but its got 31" offroad in the back, but then on the left front its got an all terrain, and the right front is a street tire, and i have access to a junkyard with a ton of ford rangers,so i was wondering if instead of buying a lift if i could just add 2 or 3 more leafs to the back, and do some other to the front, any ideas of what i could do?, or any ideas of how many leafs i would have to add, and how big of a block

the most i would do is a 2" leveling coil up front, run a add a leaf in the back. anymore then that and u need drop brackets for the front suspension. then u can pick up a body lift for like $100 and clear 33's all day long with room to flex
