tire change help?

Hello all. I just bought a brand new 2009 ranger 2x4 sport. I want to swap the tires for ones with more agressive treads and larger size. This is my first truck so i'm a knob..lol

I can't afford to go crazy with lift kits etc, so I was thinking about buying some spacer kits to move the wheels out farther and then changing the rubber.

What are the biggest tires available that will fit the stock rims and have a good all purpose tread?

The BFG AT is very popular - and for good reason. IMO, it's got an agressivre tread for an all terrain tire. I think you might be able to stuff 31" tires in there, but I'm not all that familiar with 2x4 Rangers though....
