My credo
Hey ! Watch this.....
First thanks to all who contribute to the forum and make this source available. I have been lurking for a long while and have learned quite a bit since then.

I would like some opinions on what size tire will work on my specific application. Due to the many minor differences between these trucks I wanted to get some advice on what size BFG AT/KO tires to run.

2008 Ranger XL Supercab 4x4 4.0L. Stock wheels and no lift except the following: 1.5 TT, Belltech 6400 and Billstien shock upgrade.

Have 31x10.5 BFG AT/KO with no rubbing, only on the passenger side extra flap in the well at full lock in reverse. Not an issue. I liked the 31's when they were new but when the wear a bit it makes me wish I had gone bigger. So....

Will the 33x10.50 clear or am I just asking for rub ?

I would go 32x11.50 but then I have to get 8" wheel and then remount or buy new TPMS sensors and it starts adding up fast. Will the 11.50 wear bad on the 7 inch rim ? I want the tires to last.

If I did get new wheels I want them to be hubcentric and have not found any specs for this when I looked on the web. Do not want to use centering rings. The center bore is 2.75 inches/71mm thinking a 4 inch BS. Anyone have suggestions on where to get some cheap steelies with those specs so I can price it out? It was surprising that I could not shop by center bore on Tire Rack etc..

Or just stay with the 31x10.50 and accept it is what it is.

Tread is getting low so I have to pull the trigger pretty soon,

I drive the truck on the street 98 percent of the time and will be looking at 15 inch diameter wheels and tires.

Cheapest upgrade is 33s, but rub? Best is 32s with wheel but cost, easy way out stay with 31s and dream on.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. Could not locate pics of my truck so I improvised the avatar for now.

98% street driven. Might as well stick with 31s. If you were muddin everyday that would be a different subject.

That is likely the most practical thing to do D R thanks. Just that I was hoping to go bigger and wondered if someone had info on those issues I mentioned. looks like 33s will clear but it is tight. I am going to have to spend the coin, but before I do I was hoping to spend a little more for a better look, and like the ride of larger tires. Once I mount them I will be stuck with them for about 3 years and saying to myself "I should have done...."

31s aren't bad, but I just got the itch to go bigger if possible.

Looks like 1 vote for 31's so far.....

I ran 33s on my 98 Exploder. I had a 3" body lift and TT. I still got a little rub. I am running 31s on my Ranger and it might fit 32s.

Yeah I think 32x11.50 is better than the 33x10.50 but then I have to change the wheels and move or replace the TPMS. It is more expensive but looks like the best fit. Just having a problem finding hub centric wheels with 2,75 in./71mm center bore. I do not want to use centering rings. I think BS on stock is 4.5 so I was thinking 15x8 with 4.25 or 4.00 BS will do the trick. Black steelies for now. Wanted to find them online and see what the cost will shipped out the door for the whole package, just seems like the center bore is not listed. Although seems like some say the 33x10.50 clear just fine on stock 15x7.
