Let's see if this works... This is my '01 Ranger, 2WD, 3.0.

Until I moved to the boonies last year, I NEVER needed a car. I always lived close to work and shopping in city centers. Since I had not really driven a car since high school (yeah, laugh, go ahead) except for farting around, I had to take a few lessons, not for handling a car so much as learning the rules of the road all over again. Until I bought this Ranger, I had spent a total of about 20 mins behind the wheel of a truck.

People may scoff at the Ranger.

"It's small."

"It's a girly truck."

"It's gutless."

What they don't mention is

(1) Fuel economy
(2) Easy handling
(3) Easy parking
(4) Reliability

and

(5) FUN! Driving my Ranger is fun. Shopping is fun. Hauling trash to the dump is fun. Pleasure drives are fun.

Rangertrashers can kiss my tailpipe.

That foggy May morning pic was taken in Garin State Park, East Bay, California.

PS - When people say, "Dude, those rims are gay," I shrug and say they came with the truck.

How do you get the pic to just open up like that w/o a seperate link?

Click the little yellow icon that looks like a mountain in the reply box, and paste the link in there.

Not sure how well it really shows in the pics, I did 5% over the factory tint on the extended cab side windows and the back of the cab. Windows on the doors look a lil tinted too....

Hmmm next pay check i think I'm gonna get my windows tinted, I'll be sure to post some pics.

Get some tint an do it yourself, it's not that hard, just takes a lil time and a steady hand with the razor. I did all of the tint work on my Ranger, and so far I've tinted two other Rangers. Get GILA tint though or go through a regular tint shop, I've had nothing but problems trying to use the one brand that wal-mart (and some other places) sells.

FYI, I use a spray bottle loaded with water and a few drops of dish soap instead of the more expensive stuff they sell for putting tint on. As long as you make sure it gets squeegeed out good, it's not a problem.

If anyone wants to know more specifics, I'd be glad to answer, I just feel lazy about typing a novel right now.:tease:

I have 20% on my Mazda, i think i wanna go 5% on the truck, hopefully i wont have any problems with cops around here. i might just stick with 20%

IMHO, I wouldn't go lower than 20% on the doors. Back window of the cab and extended cab if you have one, I'm half wishing I woulda went to 2.5% over top the factory tint back there.

Why so dark? Because I like it so dark that you have to use the side mirrors to see headlights behind you at night.:icon_bounceblue: I like the way my truck looks with the dark tint, headlight blackouts, etc, the darker the better as far as I'm concerned.

For doing a Ranger with an extended cab, you'll need one thing of tint for the extended cab an one for the doors. Gila brand puts you at about $30 if you don't mess up.

Paying a tint shop, expect much higher prices.

If you bring it here, I'd do the tint for a reasonable price...
