Timing

My manual does not tell me and I want to make sure it is set right it's on a 94 3.0 only thing I can find in the hanes manual is 6 degrees but that does not sound right

I think my old moostang was around 16 or so I might have over typed the 18 a little lol on spray it was 12 Thanks

I asked cause when I first take off at about 2k in first 2nd and 3rd I get a little miss but then it goes away?
I took the heads off a few months ago I had to retime it and I set it at 6 has new cap rotor and plugs wires so I think I might put a new fuel filter on and go from there probably needs one any way
