I set the timing on my 87 b2 and now it runs alot better with the spout connecter disconnected.. when it is connected the engine misses alot and lacks power.. and ideas why?

Thanks
Syko

With the spout disconnected it ...should be in a locked timing mode 10degs....disengaging the auto advance timing the ecm is putting out with information it gets back from the sensors.

have you checked for codes?

No i havent pulled codes I don't know how.. With the spout disconnected i believe it is set to 10 BTDC going to check again tomorrow.. its between the 8 and 12 on the pulley.. it goes if i remember right..
