I recently purchased a '94 ranger, 2.3 manual trans. I got the truck with a broken timing belt. I replaced the belt, tensioner, and cam position sensor. I aligned the sensor with the arrow on the tool pointing to the indent on the sensor. When I put a timing gun on it it shows about 22 btdc with the spout plug disconnected. I've checked and double checked my marks and they are dead on. I even took the belt off and re-aligned everything for good measure. Anyone know what might be causing this?
