timing belt question

I have a 1994 ranger 2wd 5 speed 2.3 liter. I wanted to know if the timing belt snapped would it mess up my engine?

i'm not sure on your application. but the key word to look for is if it is an interference engine. might help in your search

It is a non interference engine.

you should be good then. put 'er back in time and let it rip. it's your lucky day that she wasn't interferance or you'd be looking for a new valvetrain and possibly pistons and/or lower internals on a very bad day.
