Well, I looked under my truck today to put the spare back in the holder (lost the bolt so I can't anyway) and noticed that one of my rear shocks is well.. eaten away by rust.

Time to replace?

I think maybe.

Dude!Thats nasty,my condolences for the effects of the rust belt.

Looked at some online, since I'm a poor student I'm probably limited to Gabriel. (AutoZone)

Anyone had any experience with these?

When you are on a tight budget,a shock is a shock.I used their air shocks in the 70's,got no complaints.

Yeah, lost a spring hangar because of the rust as well, one on the other side is about to give sometime soon. Hopefully it will wait until next spring.. I'm jobless during the winter.
