Hey guys, i got a 3" body lift for my '98 4x4 a while ago thats been collecting dust due to my somewhat hectic schedule.

My question is, how much time should i expect to spend on the whole deal? My impression was a good afternoon or maybe even a day. I just dont wanna get started on it and have to leave it for a week..

Any thoughts?

would mustang rims fit on my ranger???

ive had the ranger siiting in the garage and i have been fixing it up but i would like to know if i would be able to put on mustang rims on. but if i could i would like to know what size of spacers i would need. :icon_hornsup:

it took me about 2 to 3 hours. it depends on how fast you can line every thing up and stuff.

there is a few guys i have heard that put mustang rims on a ranger, in the tech page there is rims and tire fitting chart. and that type of stuff

I just got done installing my body lift on my 98. Real easy, took me about a day. I took some breaks and had to run to get parts. Make sure you have tools. You will need more than a basic set of tools. good luck

You gen2 guys have it easy...no bumper bracket to BS with. Not much other BS like us newer guys have to deal with...

I got mine done on my '01 all by myself in about 7hrs time. I was taking my time and used an air impact. Bed can be done in an hour easily. If you've got a hitch that mounts to the side of the frame, you'll need an extra person to help install the hitch and bumper combo since they both share the same holes.

It's really easy to install a bodylift, but very time consuming. There's alot of disconnecting, then reconnecting later.

BUT....i've seen alot giveup and take over a week on and off getting their lift done. With the right tools and know how, it can be done in an afternoon.

It took me and 2 guys 5 hours, would have been done sooner if we did not open the beer first.
