Hello all.

just looking for some thoughts and idea's on thing's.

my current ride an 87 Ranger Ext Cab, is nearing the end of the line

It has been my Daily Driver since 95 and has served me very well over the years.

I can probaly count on 2 hands the times she's left me stranded/stuck and it's alway's been within walking distance of home.

I am gonna be in the market for a different vechile this summer,
On my list wish list for the vechile is,
1. 4X4, "live in SW WI/also on Fire Department and due some off roading"
2. Be able to haul 2-3 Kid's, 4 times a week to daycare on my way to work, I have a 2 year old now and little brother is due late September. "thinking the Jump Seats in the back of the Ranger Don't fit car seats very good."
3. Need a Trailer Hitch to be able to pull 2 quad's 5 times a year 10 miles and pull a single quad 30 times a year for 10 miles.

I would love a 99+ ranger with the quad cab but I still don't think those Jump seats in back are gonna go over real well with Car Seats for the kid's.

Also don't wanna step up to a full size truck either I already have a 78 F150 for the heavy/large hauling that i due, but it is a tight fit to park that in my garage at home and in the winter a real pain.
My garage has a side walkin door, in winter I walk from the house to garage go inside out of the freezing cold/Wind put kid in truck go around other side get in myself start the truck open up garage door and away we go. Also should mention that I have a wood boiler in the garage that heat's water for the house that I have to fill 1-2x a night in winter. If I have the full size truck in the garage I loose the access of the side door for entry and opening the garage door lets' out all the heat that has built up from the boiler. Makes it cold out there to restock the stove, The 15sec walk from the house to the garage isn't bad but then if you have to spend 5 minutes out there in your pajama pants restocking the stove at 2am it's darn right chilly. So I wanna keep my side door access. The Garage temp usually stay's above freezing from the heat of the Boiler.

ok sorry for rambling,

I have thought about the Exploer Sport Trac's but the Look's just don't inspire me much.

Ford Explorer? Wife already has one and I like it pretty much but I don't c the need to have 2 vechiles the same,

So ?

I was thinking a Jeep Wrangler. Small enough to fit into my garage space and leave access to the Side Door, Has a Back bench seat that I could put the Car seat on and set Kid in and buckle up put other Car Seat in Passenger Seat and go. Has 4x4 for winter driving, and should be able to haul the quads the distance I talking about.

thoughts and ideas?
Thanks,

sublime out
