I don't have access to an interchange manual and I'd like to up-grade my steering to tilt. My truck is Gen 3 1994 non power steering. I think the 94 explorer and pre 1990 bronco are the only fit. From what I have read is I can swap with explorer if I change a spline near the steering box. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Any 1989-94 Ranger, Explorer or Bronco2 steering column will work.

There are some wiring differences between the tilt (ALWAYS with Cruise control)
and non-tilt, because the horn and cruise control actually share some of the wiring.

There is no spline difference, as there is no spline at the lower end of
the column where it connects to the intermediate shaft.

As for the steering box? those are EXACTLY the same from 1983-97 on Rangers (1991-94 on Explorers)
