Thunder & Lightning

We've been havin' alot of it here lately, the last few days been full of it, my computer as right under a window so I'm watching the Lightning and the window open listening to the thunder right now,

I love thunder & lightning!

Me too, although we don't get a lot around here, more on the east side of the Cascades where it's dryer. Looking forward to seeing some when I go back to visit my family next month though (Nebraska!).
When it does get close though, I'm usually unplugging things like computers. I've seen what happens to things when hit by lightning. Had it hit the antenna on a tower at Dad's one summer, and literally melted down the guts of the tv, shot sparks out the back. He doesn't watch tv in a storm anymore...

i don't,sitting on moms porch today,heard a click-then flash/BOOM!into the house we went.in the distance no problem,danger close,umm no!

yea we usually unplug things too, and unfortunately mom doesnt let me stand in the middle of the garden holding 30 foot aluminum poles in the middle of lightning storms anymore, I know, shame on her!

Yeah, I enjoy it from in a house or car, not so much when out in it. When I was living at home one summer, Dad, my bro, and I were driving up on a hill to look for smoke as it hadn't started raining yet and it hit the next hill over (couple hundred yards!). Started a fire, and man we were leary to get out and put it out! Spent the rest of that night putting out grass fires in a storm, very nervous work!

I LOVE electrical storms.
About ten years ago our phone line got hit. It took out our phone, the powersupply in our IBM, the modem, and the sound card. We still have the same computer, it is a little small at todays standards but, it works as good as new. Far better than our 3 year old Dell!
I have no place to get a good view here, I really want to get out of town!

We had a hell of an electric storm friday night/saturday morning. It's started little fires all over the surrounding hills.

I'm a huge fan of good storms too! to bad normally they aren't all that great around here. although yesterday and today we had a couple of ok storms even had hail! was at work today when the system blew threw and the hail hitting the ground right outside the shop doors was about 3/8" in dia.

we had some crazy thunderstorms here yesterday while i was working on the truck... i sure am glad i have a garage

im getting to like thunder and lightning
but i never did

my parents shot fireworks as a side job(where weird people)
so whenever you see lightning or hear thunder it was always a rush to cover the racks and the blast boxes(the extra shells, they shot with flairs)

wooooow! we got another storm and i was out on dirtbike and chain lightning went like right in front of me and i was goin like 45 mph and i steered away and this was on soaking wet grass and i wiped out,
I like being out in the rain
