Yep it is fairly simple.. Carb cleaner should do the trick. When done remove the filter and replace it with a new STOCK type filter.. It is a rare indeed case of dirty TB when using a stock type filter.. You either have a K&N type filter or bad leaks in the intake system to get a dirty TB.. Think of how much GUNK has passed the TB and went into your engine.. Sounds kinda silly to put all that GUNK in an engine that you depend on.. Keep it clean should be the first rule of an intake system.

Ya it's easy, I did this a couple months ago. The backside of my throttle plate was gunky after 190,000 miles from the EGR backfeed, the upper intake plenum was filthy as well. Carb cleaner will work or they also sell throttle body cleaner which is what I used. It's an easy job, just pull the whole throttle body itself off. Remove the air intake hose that connects to the throttle body obviously. Then remove the 3 bolts holding it on, a vacuum line underneath and the throttle position sensor then get to work. Give it a good cleaning and reinstall. Don't forget the vacuum line underneath (I did the first time around).

Recommend CRC air intake cleaner and a rag around the intake. O2 sensor safe sould always be on the label.

Good luck

thank you every one i took off the cold air intake and it was a piece of the o ring that had come off and was stuck in the butterfly valve causeing it not to close all the way so i went and got another bushing and patched it up runs great now thank you every one
