Yesterday i was playing around in the snow drifts and i threw my belt. I was able to put it on with just my hands and a leatherman but i was wondering if this is something i have to look forward to when i play in the snow. Anyone have any suggestions to stop this. Thanks.

If you can put it on with ur hands and a leatherman You either need a new belt or a tensioner.

Ya i think its a little loose so it could be the tensioner. The tensioner is automatic right? theres no way to tighten the belt?

Ya its a serpentine system so i guess ill get a tensioner and a belt. Might as well anyways its a good way to spend money :D thanks for your help.

No problem, I get to replace my tensioner assembly, belt, and idler pulley tonight. YOu got lucky, my belt snapped, becasuse the idler pulley seized, then the belt messed up my connector to my ac pump.

Ya that sucks. I hear about peoples idler or tensioner pulleys seizing up all the time but its never happened to me in any of my 5 past vehicles. I guess im just lucky lol
