wassup guys im helping a buddy out with some control arms and steering and we are using 2" .250 dom tubing(for c-arms) and he is about to buy some jonnie joints, is it best to thread the tubing or buy the bungs to weld on with the threads in them?

doesnt really matter imo. depends if you want to weld inserts in, or get a super expensive tap (better (cheaper) option depending how many you are doing.)

thanks, looks like bungs they are cheap as hell(compare to a tap)

It depends on what you are doing. In most cases, it's cheaper to just buy the threaded inserts since they are readily available in both LH and RH thread, and much cheaper than buying BOTH a RH and LH 1.25"-12 tap.

i welded mine... using the same ballistac fab johnines... watch out for them sticky marbls on your threads though..

well we found some for a couple of bucks a piece and bought some nice frame jonnie joint mounts from a guy on pirate4x4, so we are waiting on the parts, and hopefully have it done this weekend, thinking about throwing his old d30 in the front of my junk while we are at it, but its so fawkn hot
