Thought About This.

Does anyone have a tremec transmission in their Ranger,Or could you put one in a Ranger.I have a 87 Ford Ranger and im doing the v8 swap and i thought about putting a tremec transmission in it if it will bolt up.Need some help let me know about this guys.Thanks

Alright.Did you run into any problems with it,like the drive shaft of anything? And im putting a 302 Ho in mine.Got any pics of it?

Does that even matter which you are using? Which Tremec? Even the T-5 is a Tremec now. The newer Tremecs, 3550 and the TKO's take a different bellhousing, same size as the one for the T-5 but different bolt pattern. They also take the 31 spline output shaft, same as used on the C-6. TKO's and the 500/600 series also use the 26 spline input shaft, Don't ever worry about the driveshaft untill you get the motor all set in and aligned. Going to have to move/adjust the tranny crossmember also but no biggy.

Well,no.The t5 is still not the same as the tremec,a t5 does not hold 500 ft/lb when the tremec does.The t5 will never be the same as the tremec.

Man,i know there are more models of the tremec.The tko is the number one to have in my oppinion.And i just asked a simple question and look where this thread ig going to.

Did you get your question answered or not? Sounds like your might have "eduamcated" your self some. I've got a TKO but its the 3550-2.
