if you dont want the loudness of the thrush welded or the flowmaster 40 series, or the expense or the dynomax kit. but still want a deep rumble

get this muffler. http://www.jegs.com/i/Cherry-Bomb/545/87756/10002/-1?parentProductId=769809 i

talked to guys at cherry bomb, and they said you can turn it around and use it as a dual in/ single out. so thats what i did.

i just installed one on the expo before it left. wow did it sound good. slight interior noise if you remove the resonator. but def worth it.

hehe i have no muffler and its just perfect

I want to remove my muffler as well. What is the pipe called that connects the gap where the muffler was?
The ends are slightly bigger than the existing pipes so it can slide over them.

t
the pipe on most will be smaller than the inlet of the muffler, so i have 2 1/2 inch pipe. and i removed the muffler and put a turndown on it. sounds ok but its pretty loud i wouldnt if you have lots of cops. im more in the country so cops will only pull you over if you are doing a burnout etc... to answer your question, are you talking about a coupling or the inlet/outlet of he muffler?

That's what I did...for about a week, then my dad bitched about my truck being loud so I put a thrush muffler on and it sounds slightly louder than stock.

I recently just got rid of my f series because a rebuilttransmission siezed

Thank you for adding absolutely nothing to the conversation.

Tips man.....Tips....

Tips on an exhaust make ALL the difference on a 4L exhaust. I have 2.5" pipe from the cat going back to a welded muffler (SI/DO) and dual 2.25" pipes going out the back. It sounded OK, but with the addition of 18" long 3.5" tips......they added all the sound, resonance, and rumble.
