Wouldnt think of it lol
My credo
Git or done
At some point in this restoration I gotta tear off everything to get the intake off. Glad I can take pictures with my cell phone. Comes in handy for things like this.

Ford injectors rarely fail but thats not never, the coil inside can be tested with OHM meter, 13-20ohms is expected

If left sitting in the engine long enough they can get clogged up as gasoline evaporates and leaves behind a residue
You can use pressurized can of carb cleaner and 9volt battery to clean them
Loads of video how-tos on that

But you can also get them rebuilt for $20-$25 each, check for local shops in your area, or you can send them out to be rebuilt

Rumor has it that JBWELD was used somewhere on a leak" . The moron that did this ended up sucking it into the number 5 injector. How he narrowed it down to this one is anybody's guess. Anyone that foolish wouldn't be smart enough to make that determination . Doesn't mean it cant be done. My solution...replace em all.

Test each new one with OHM meter, and if possible see if they "click" when 9v or 12v is applied, there is no polarity issue

New, now-a-days, just means NEVER TESTED, years ago it meant "tested and works" not any more

I have chased my tail a few times "trusting" that the new part worked out of the box, and it turned out it didn't, hasn't happened often, but you sure remember when it does, lol

You might be able to get a set from the junk yard. They come in different sizes. Get some from a vehicle with the same engine. They are color coded for the size, though I think I read somewhere that the color code is not an absolute certainty. Verify part numbers.
