This Ranger is carryin alottttt....

Mine hauled 3,xxx lbs worth of scrap the other day, wish i had gotten a pic of it. Truck and trailer was heaping.

Our Rangers do sure hual some weird stuff around. I've used my Ranger to help my buddies move from time to time. It has had a washer & dyer for one my buds. Then one of them moved and I practially moved all the furniture and kitchen appilances. Which involved 1x sofa & 2 reclining chairs for trip 1. Trip 2 was the frig, washer, & dryer. Trip 3 was 2x freezers and a dresser. Trip 4 was to tow the T-bird to its new home, plus anything left over shoved in the T-bird and thrown in the Ranger's bed.

If i was a cop i would light that guy up so fast for unsafe load i bet a dryier/washingmachine/stove would rape a honda civic if it fell out on the highway or the truck in a head on collision sending it flying.:icon_surprised:

But im surprised its not sagged down more.

Wow...I've had three appliances on mine, but the tailgate was closed...and they were only small washers...

Looks like he has the washer and fridge in the right position for weight, but can't tell what the last thing is on the tailgate...probably a stove because they're relatively light...

I wouldn't drive it like that...I had 550 lbs of scrap metal on mine once and the front end was bouncing...just enough to make it interesting...lol

Is there something extending the bed? It looks like something is bolted to the bedside with a large chain for support.

Anyone else notice the care taken to strap all that down? I think I count 3 bungie cords total.

I've hooked up to some large trailers before but that's insane. saw a guy once who got 100 wooden chairs in the bed of his f-150... that was interesting too.

I hooked up to a loaded 35' flatbed with a 2x2 steel superstructure on it... talk about squat.

EDIT: That's one of those tommy gate lift tailgate things on the back!:icon_surprised::icon_surprised: those things make the truck squat on their own!:shok:

as long as it's strapped down securely a cop has nothing to ticket him for.

exceeding the maximum load rating of your truck isn't illegal, at least not in a capacity that a traffic cop can ticket you for it.

Look at my sig.......... this rangers made hundreds of loads like that.

just three round bales on a 16 foot trailer its a 2000 model Fx4 we use on the farm........ had to beef up trailer hitch after bending the frame hauling annhydrous with it.

Frank

Its a 2wd ranger... and it ain't even squatting much at all.

lol i've hauled bigger loads than that.. not all in the bed though.

Nice. A guy with a Ranger came by my house today to pick up a 4.0 I had lying around. He told me he'd just come from the metal yard where he scrapped a 3100 lb counterweight for heavy construction equipment. Said his Ranger hauled it fine.

Yeah, I bet his overload springs were bent after that...
