This may sound pretty dumb to some of you but I can't figure it out

Downey that is what i was thinking. I just did mine this summer I bought bearings and rotors at advanced auto. the bearings came with a race, the rotor also had the same race in it. I could read the part number off of it and it was the same part number that was on the race that came with the bearings. I think some of the rotors might not come with the race and you are suppose to press it in. the OP should pull it off and check it

ok if what you guys are calling the race the seal and inner bearing than yea I didn't put that in. Usually the brakes I do already had them in it.... but I am still having a tiny problem. The bearing isn't going in far enough so that I am able to put the counter pin in? Any ideas.

did you save the old rotor? did you match it up to the new one to see that it was exactly the same? the races and eveerything

Yea they looked the same. Well the left side I got in perfect. The right side is only off a tad.. maybe half a cm. It seems to be good. I'll report back tonight or tomorrow.

IMHO..........I find this very odd.........1/4 is a lot..........there is something that is not correct with the rotor, bearing or spindle

as i am thinking. at this point i am sure you have not put the caliper bridge and caliper back on.....so pull the rotor and bearings of the side that fits and put it on the other side and see if it fits

Yea something isn't right because the left side is fine but the right side is making a little noise while driving. Both of the rotors are the same, I went back to autozone to make sure one side doesn't need another and it doesn't. So I have noo idea. I took out the bearing and put it back in 5 different times. So I don't know. I really need to get this done though because I'm driving 600 miles to Virginia Beach friday. hmmmm.
