This is the gauge in my 96 Ford Ranger for oil and electrical.

The odd part is, when I turn on my lights, I get this yellow light at the bottom of my oil pressure.

I've went through the 1996 owners manual several times, and it doesn't have a gauge package quiet like this one.
Is this lights purpose suppose to be to tell me that my lights are on?
Thanks,
Reed

I'm not sure I've ever seen that light... someone will come along and have an answer.

There is supposed to be a peg there that the oil pressure gauge rests on when the engine is off. It’s missing from the hole, that is just the backlight showing through.

Told ya so...

Wasn't even thinking that direction fred... no surprise I haven't seen it before.

The pin should be laying in the bottom of the cluster... maybe glue it back on?

They look just like the gauges in my 98. Funny, I don't see a lower peg on the volt gauge side. I'll look at mine later. Mine even has the turn signal arrow in the same location. And it appears to be on the right side of the panel. On the left in my 98 is the fuel level left and the water temperature right. With the turn signal arrow in the same location mirror image.

I would definitely panic, freak out, and run away screaming if I were you.

Theres a wizard that lives in your cluster. Best to not upset him.

I looked at all my gauges in my 98 last night. Yeah, the oil pressure gauge is the only one with a peg at the bottom. The coolant temp, fuel gauge and battery voltage don't have one. Odd. But like I said, that gauge looks exactly like mine.
