My thoughts exactly.
I would maybe use a cleaned out traffic cone for an engine that might require a 5 gallon oil requirement. But I find the cut off top of a 2 liter works really good.

that's why i dont take my either of my cars or my wife's car to have the oil changed, i used to work at jiffy lube and i know what kind of knuckleheads they hire at those places

Nice. Using that traffic cone is sort of like putting in the engine killer crap from Cash for Clunkers. If I get the quart bottles, I just carefully dump the first one in, get out my pocket knife and cut the bottom off of it. Then I've got a spanking clean funnel for the other bottles.
