Say what ya'll want, "I have cleaning OCD", 'its a truck", etc...but that dang mud was coming off of my truck. It was fun while it lasted, but it was time to get it to premud condition. For those of ya'll that dont know we had a wonderful trcuk meet on the OBX and it was a blast. See thread:

Well it was time to get the mud off. It couldnt be good for all the parts espacially since the engine was pretty much caked along with all susmension and brakes.

Two hours before:

Then it came the fun part of getting mud off:

My front end was submerged, so you can imagine the mud that was in it:

The last pic, an old man came up to and told me "young man, yu have the sharpest Ranger I have ever laid eyes on. Its so clean!" I told him he didnt see it the day before...lol.

Anyhowm the truck is cleaner now underneath than before the mud. That is the firstand last time i go in mud. I dont mind sand and snow, but mud sucks. If i go through mud again, it will be with a truck I dont owe 11 grand on and one that i can mess up and not worry about it. The truck is clean, but it not yet the way i want it. it was so hot yesterday, i got a few waterspots i have to get off. I also have to clean my interior as it smells like the ocean!

I was expecting a picture of you bangin' on the frame with a hammer or something, getting all the dried mud off. But jeepers, I've never seen anyone remove the bed of their truck to wash it! The end result looks like it just rolled out of the factory though. Do what you've gotta do I guess!

I'd buy any truck you've owned and gone mudding with, sight unseen.
Don't forget to check fluids:icon_rofl:
Richard

:icon_confused: I think I would just avoid the mud in your case.

lol i left a message on the other thread sayin ive never seen your truck that dirty, now i know why..lol good job man!

not a bad idea, keeps rust from forming in the long run =) be sure to dry it too!

Haha... that is pretty insane... there is mud in my truck from the first time its gone out... i try to clean the underside pretty well just because its easier to work on that way.

if i did that every time i got a little mud on the tires....i would have a bunch of worn out bolts on the truck//

Also. My truck gets that muddy just driving down the road after it rains. :dunno:

youre not alone i remove the box every year to do a through clean and i powerwash exerything top to bottom like you did. but i only go in mud about 2 times a year. i have cleaning ocd too. and i detail cars and trucks

I suppose once a year is a bit more reasonable lol, if you actually care.

Wow alot of work but worth it i guess :yahoo:
This is one of the nicest rangers on here! :headbang:
