Ok so last period at school I was in my language class and a couple moose were in front of the school. The cops showed up to scare it off and shot them with some rubber rounds. and everyone went to go look. So then our principle went out to wait and help scare it off with the cops. Everyone went back to work and stuff and about 5 minutes later gun shots again we thought they just fired off some more rubber rounds but then my teacher mrs. Kysar screamed out "Oh My God they Shot it with real bullets!" Which we thought she was joking because my class jokes way too much, then one of the stoner kids went to the window and said "Holy C**P! They Did!" So most of my class said they had to go to the bathroom and went out to watch/see it. Me and a few other kids stayed back to see it through the window. They shot the smaller one right in front of the front doors. Blood was splattered everywhere and running down the steps and the cops just got in their car and drove back to the station (which is on the way out of the school parking lot anyway, 50 yards). Just happened like an hour ago and yeah just shocking now.

dude go scoop that up, Moose is good stuff. you can one up the cops and hang and clean that moose right off the flag pole. now that would be shocking!
but serisouly moos is good meat and usally alot of meat. if anything don't let the meat go to waste make sure someone take the meat.

I really don't understand why they wouldn't just scare them off with other non-lethal methods, but oh well.

I'm into hunting and especially eating good game meat. I would definitely find out if you could get some of that moose so you could have a REALLY good dinner.

Oh, and we only have whitetail in Missouri. I think there are some mule deer along the northern Missouri border, but I don't think I'll ever hunt anything that large.

Well apparently the littler moose started to "charge" the police and so they just shot it... multiple times... in the head. then the other ran away. Everyone in school was like why the hell would they do that. But they have been hanging around for awhile, like a week or so. They dragged it all the way down the steps in the parking lot where they had a trailer and loaded it up and by lunch time the janitors were scraping up the bloody snow. The moose wern't causing any harm but to the scared parents (I walked around them just to get in the doors of school).

Don't hunt but I do love moose steaks and burgers, we have them like a couple times a month./

I can't get any of the moose anyway because up here they have a list thing that people sign up for and whoever is next on the list gets the "Road Kill" moose so that the meat is not wasted. There is about 300 lucky people who get them every year in alaska.
