I saw that other post and i think i am going to go with the dynomax full system, i mean you can't beat 100 bucks for the pipes and a muffler, i will just swap the mufflers if i don't like the sound.
I dont know much about dynomax so nothing against them....but it is a general rule of thumb that you get what you pay for.
That's what I did. I ordered the dynomax system a while ago, and I just ordered a thrush welded muffler to go with it today.Well i really just want the piping that i can put a muffler in, that way i can keep my stock exhaust intact and i can put it on if i need to for whatever reason. It will give me a 2.50" cat back exhaust for 100 bucks which is bigger and cheaper then getting the pipe from like napa or something.

My Ranger was getting about 15 miles per gallon city before I installed my new Borla muffler. After installing it, my miles per gallon went up to 18. I was thrilled about this, especially since I was just looking for sound. Another added bonus was the performace. I could feel more torque and horsepower the instant I drove it.
I'll admit, it wasn't the cheapest exhaust. I could have gotten a $30.00 Cherry Bomb but I researched and shopped around for months and I finally found what I was looking for. The muffler ran me around $140.00 or so w/ all the clamps and etc. It has a million mile warranty, and is made of stainless steel. Not to mention it looks pretty good from underneath - especially with a nice coat of polish on it.
All in all, I am 100% sold. I will continue to buy Borla parts for all of my vehicles. If you are interested in quality, performace, fuel economy and sound, I'd definately look at the Borla Exhaust line.
