Your on crack if you want to get rid of it for that reason...you know that right? There are so many of those heads on ebay and in junkyards. You could have that thing apart and replaced overnight after you get the new/used head. On top of that a cracked head is primetime for more mods. If you dont want it though. give me a ring.

1st things 1st...Hey chico, I wasn't trying to thread jack man, I wish you luck with whatever you get!! I had just found out about my cracked head about 5 hrs b4 I saw your post & it was fresh on my mind.

froggy...Seems like "crack" is literally my problem. I'm just frustrated. It is quite a task to replace, way more than an overnight deal. I can't get enough out of it the way it is to even consider selling it now, so it will sit until I can afford to fix it I guess....& yes, more mods will probably go along with it.

Evan...It is both a money issue at the moment & the ridiculous amount of work involved, fortunately my dad runs his own shop, so labor will not be a factor. If I'm not mistaking, the engine needs to come out to do it.

Thankfully Ford did more than throw in a big hp motor, something about upgrading the rims, tires, brakes, rear end and front suspension. You have to have one to really enjoy a later Mustang.

they have bigger brakes too... and the '03/'04s have IRS.

Found the picture I wanted to post earlier, just took too long. Most of us are so used to seeing the simple 302/5.0 motors. This took the guy a couple of nights just to down to this point. Things getting kind of complicated

they got the IRS in 99. Before that they had different trac bars for better traction. 320 horse in 99 and 01, then 390 in 03-04.

Im thinking of going fox body now cause I found many on craigslist.

yea I have one that I want to buy but I need a loan, cant get a loan until I get a real job. Once that happens ill be buying one, hopefully the one in bargain news is still there. Been in there since october. I want a nicer car now instead of the shit im driving.
