I bought an 87 ranger a few weeks back. it's a 2.3 with the A4LD. Motor has issues and tranny is about to lose 2nd gear or maybe first. Now I've found a donor 88 f150 with an AOD tranny and good 302. The truck it is in is alittle ugly and I can get it for about 300 bucks.
Saw that Advanced adapters has a kit for exact setup I'm looking at minus the radiator. I've read that parts off an explorer is recommended but would the f150 parts work? I'd like to buy the kit and fab everything else myself.
