thinkin bout getting these rims... will they fit?

Yeah they'll fit. But you don't need beadlocks.

yeah i know i dont NEED them. but i didnt NEED to totally redo my sound system either lol. i think beadlocks look cool but i dont like fake ones soooo might as well get real ones :D and at 120 bux a peice, their pretty affordable.

If you can afford it, I say go for it. Just because they aren't DOT approved doesnt mean you cant run them. If your state is like mine, your vehicle doesnt need to be inspected. I know guys that run their old racing rims on their work cars and never have a problem. If it can stand up to racing, why wouldn't it work on the road.

You are going to run beadlocks on a 4 banger? you do realize those things are going to be heavy as hell right?

yea i kno their heavy but, i think my truck can handle it. and ive already had my truck smogged so there is no further inspections. and ill keep my stock rims just in case my truck REALLY doesnt like the new rims or i get caught lol.

wtf's the point though? Youre better off getting a set of Classic Locks from Mickey Thompson...Theyre $150, lighter, look better, and in the long run will save you gas mileage, therefore paying for themselves.

Stupid question, but why are beadlocks illegal?

Beadlocks as a whole are not illigal. It's the kind that bolt on the outside of the wheel and sandwitch the bead between the OUTSIDE of the wheel and the beadlock plate that are illegal for use on road. They are illegal because the tire is not mounted properly on the inside of the wheel. The solution to this is the use of a beadlock insert which actually works better and is legal.

hmmm ill look into those... if their lighter and look better then ill prolly get them

nevermind, the classic locks arent real beadlock rims... if i dont get REAL beadlocks then ima get some alcoa rims. but i havent decided yet.

Your truck being smogged, and not having any further inspections needed does not make up for the fact that it has like 130hp and doesn't have the torque that you are going to need to spin that massive amount of rotational mass.

you realize the weight of the rims is compounded like 10 times when they are spinning due to centrifugal force right? If each rim/tire weighs 50lbs, its like hauling around an extra 500lbs at speed.

hmmm... so how much heavier can they be? well if my truck cant spin them then i guess ima start searchin for some egal alloy or american racing rims (the 8 hole alloy ones).
