I have the stock 28/7.5 axles on an 84 B2 and was wondering what fluids would be good to use (lucas/royal purple or just regular gear oil) and how much for each axle so I know how much to get. Also what gaskets or just use rtv silicone?
Thanks in advance
Wes

I give you my perspective .. differential oil are almost all similar
Any 75W90 or 80W90 gear oil will be fine

quantity: 2 quarts of oil by axle

Materials:
1. A standard 3/8" drive ratchet.
2. 1/2" socket.
3. Brake cleaner.
4. Black RTV.
5. Flathead screwdriver.
6. 80W-90 gear oil. . . royal purple is good ( GL-5 90W gear oil, ) add friction modifiers (LSD)

7. Oil pan.
8. Sanding block(optional).

(I'm getting ready to do a fluid change and will try Valvolene 90-140 with a friction modifyer additive)
