I got a pioneer headuunit powering a pair of of memphis pr 5x7s up front and a pair of infinity reference 5x7s in the back doors. For subs I've got a pair of memphis pr svc 10s in a audioenhancer ported box being fed by an alpine mrp-500 500 watt amp. Its in a ext. Cab f150. I hit 111.1 db on the dash lisning to T.I. its nothing fancy and I could amp my speakers an make it louder but I ain't got the cash now. Try to get pics up soon.

ummm... ok?

i've got an awesome pioneer headunit, memphis mids/highs (3.5's and 5x7's), street edge tweeters, pioneer 525 watt 4 channel on those, kicker cvr dvc 10's being pushed by a kicker 750 class d ammp. all in a 1988 bronco II.... ? i need to use my db reader on my iPhone to see what i can hit when i turn the bass up some.

What's with the questionmarks? I wasn't asking ny? 'S just saying I got my setup right for my lisening style.

ohhhh ok. i wasn't quite sure what you were getting to.
but that's good. everyone has a different style of sound they are looking for.

me, i'm about to take one of the subs out, and cut out some of the bass. i just want a full range of music. i don't need glass shattering bass anymore

Haha yea, nxt step is tweeters, how are them street edge? I kno they are made by memphis so they can't be to bad. I hahd me bass +3 wich is halfway up. I used a db meter on my droid so idk how accurate it is. Not to far off id imagine.

i've checked my db gauge on my iPhone against professional equipment (i do a lot of setting up sound systems for churches and local events), and the iPhone is dang near perfect. so i'd assume the droid one would be to.

i like my streetedge tweeters. i got 40% off my 5x7's, 3.5's, and tweeters b/c i bought all memphis stuff at the same time. which is why i got the streetedge, had to buy it all to get the discount. i got a heck of a deal

i wouldn't be scared to recommend them to anyone. i'm real happy with how the tweeters work.

Ill have to look into em. It was a pita to put my back speakees in. Ny truck didn't hace tgem from the factory so I had to run tge wires to the headunit. All my wiring is hid under the floor molding. Sorry for bad spelling on my fone lol

How high up will the phone db reader go a 111.1 is nothing thats about the same as a person talking loudly with what you have it should be higher curious if the mic stops at 111.1 and if the phone one is like a term lab the louder you go the more futher they get off best is to use a b n k

i've had to run all new speaker wires. i NEVER use the factory wires from something that old... plus i have a 4 channel amp so, that means new wiring.

General conversation is anywere from 70-80 db at 3-5 feet, ahearing loss starts to occur over longer period of time at 90-95 db. A power saw at 3 feet is 110 db. A rock concert is around 120 db, a gunshot is 140 db. If you talk at 110 db id hate to talk to ya. The db meter goes to 120 db.

i have the "audiotools" app and it goes up to 140 db.

me talking with the phone about 3 feet from me is around 70. me yelling into it at point blank range is 110ish...
