They are back!

Up here we have a lot of Fleet Fram stores. Looked at the selection of AR types yesterday. Saw a Bushmaster with some kind of red dot for $749. They had other levels and brands going up to about $1,500. There was a Bushmaster ORC, for under a grand. Also Adams built from the mid twelves.

But then no ammo, either 5.56 or .223.

Just got home from Fleet and they had plenty of .223 hunting rounds. Picked up that Rossi lever gun I had on order from someplace else for $75 cheaper. Lots of .45 LC also but that's it for pistol rounds.

Cabela's actually had .223, as well as a few other places, they have lots of AR's now, but there still about $900.

AR's are creaping back in around here, like MastuhWaffles sad they are not cheap... but they are not bare bones basic rifles either. They are loaded down to the hilt with do-dads and add-ons. I suppose when they were ordering during the rush they were trying to get the most expensive things they could knowing people would still eat them up.

Found an AR for $750, it was some brand I didn't recognize, was a very basic one with forward assist.

I was at Cabela's yesterday and they had all ammo in stock, still a 5 box limit, but they had 7.62x39, .223, 5.56, and even 9MM! The only stuff I couldn't find was 9mm Makarov, the only thing they had was 20 rounds of premium ammo for it, that was 30 dollars! I ended up driving an hour to academy sports just to get the last 4 boxes of 9mm mak, and it was only 10 bucks for 50 rounds. So I got 200 rounds for 40 bucks, this stuff used to be pretty cheap and very common, its very slowly coming back.
