thermostat?

2003 2.3 Runs very cool, never gets to operating temp,using way to much fuel. Gage barely moves off the peg. where is the thermostat?

The lower radiator hose fastens to the tstat.

Thanks, found it in the side of the block,end of lower hose. Do you know if I can just change the thermostat or do I have to buy that entire block with the hose connections?

I wonder if they can be bought so if they fail......they'll fail in the wide open position.
