What I've found out about all these darn RBV boards....that that they cater to a certain niche of the niche of Rangers. For example: TRS = Gen1-3 lifted guys. RPS = lowered dudes. R-F = 98+ lifted folks. I know that's a very very rough outline and it doesn't necesarily factually give insight to each site, as all sites cover similar topics. It's just an observation I've noticed over the past 5 years or so of lurking all RBV sites.
I really like TRS because it's not packed full of blahblahblah banter BS like on all the other sites. One in particular that I've not mentioned. I like it here because it's literally strictly trucks and truck business...and I think this site has the best as far as builds and tech is concerned. It's the only one that remotely comes close to my classic chevy truck forum I'm on.
I started getting into 4 wheeling a while ago and started wrenching on my stuff because it's fun (most of the time), satisfying and because like most people, I can't afford to pay someone else to do it. I've gotten a lot of help from the friendly people on this site and don't feel nervous about asking a newb question or feeling stupid because I don't know how to do something. This site has just about everything I need and nothing I don't. The more I get on other 4x4 sites the more I appreciate TRS. I live in WA but I'm from MI and moving back soon so I've started to go on Great Lakes 4x4 a little bit and man, those people are crazy. I haven't posted anything yet, but I don't really want to either. Nobody on there seems to be able to type or speak English properly or use a sentence without a swear word. Somebody is getting flamed in almost every thread, and nobody seems to take anybody else seriously. Glad that TRS attracts people of a higher caliber.
