My credo
If it's not broken Don't Fix It!
We all need that inspiration to keep chugging along. This doesn't mean you have issues but need a quote to keep you motivated and moving forward through out your day.

So many times we see negative posts on social media and some times need a positive up beat place to see/read good things. My hope is that we all, both members and visitors alike can read positive up lifting quote from real life to help everyone to keep churning through the everyday mundane part of the automotive and home life. We all love our vehicles why not love and support other vehicle lovers with a simple "this is what gets me through the day" quote.

You would be surprised with what can resonate with others to keep them on a positive upbeat path to the end of the day and on to the next.

I'll start off with:

Crap, things just went side ways. Close eyes and take a full deep breath in hold for one second then release and say now "OK what is next step to move on?"

You will be surprised how much the one second helps you refocus the bad energy/stress created by the fact things went sideways. QUOTE is " Ok what is the next step to move on "

"Some days you just cant jam it into second, even if ya double clutch it"

-Cooter Davenport

It's not a quote or anything but I live by this... I try my hardest to not use the words "I can't do ……." or "I don't know how to …….." The way I see life is that if someone can do something then I should be able to as well. Especially when it comes to fixing things, not just automotive but anything. If something breaks whether its a vehicle, appliance, tool, house then I want to get my hands on it and figure out why it broke and how to fix it. It honestly drives me crazy when I have to say I don't know how to do something.... If I don't know then I want to learn how or what and if I can't do something then I need to figure out why I can't do something and figure out a way to resolve the issue. Just my 2 cents on life.

The guys at work come to me all the time with that “I can’t” or “I don’t know” bullshit... I’ve got a library of shop manuals, and access to dealer repair info for ever manufacturer we’ve ever bought a vehicle from... you don’t know, because you haven’t bothered to try.

Grandpa's line:

"If it was easy everybody would do it"

Other Grandpa's line when something drastically bad happens, like a wheel falls off or an obvious mission kill like that:

"Well I/you can't farm that way"

Sometimes you're the windshield, sometimes you're the bug.

- Mark Knopfler, also repeated by Mary Chapin-Carpenter

I started in the oilfields in the mid 70s, and very quickly learned theirs was "there ain't no can't"
The bottom fell out of it in the 80s and I moved on, but even by then would hear "i can't" quite often
