I have changed everything. New moter mounts/tranny mounts. New center bearing and u joins.
changed diff oli
Can’t figure out. The first one is usually the worse then gets better but always happens after I turn off truck and start again.

The idea that the drive shaft, motor mounts, etc, etc, would behave differently after turning the truck on and off is just lunacy. The problem must be somewhere else.

Probably a misfire or something. Try pulling one plug wire at a time and restarting the truck until you find the one wire that doesn't make it worse. Then assess if it's spark or fuel.

Let's start with some data points. Do you park in a place (or places? Where the first thing you do every morning is shift into reverse? Does this behavior happen when you shift into drive first? What kind of vibration exactly you feeling? What kind of noises?

maybe its the fluid moving through the valve body and putting pressure on the system?

we need a clarification "while putting into reverse"
does that mean in reverse and not moving with the brake applied?, or while actually moving in reverse?

[yeah because I back out of driveway. Shakes the whole engine and differential

oh, that doesn't sound like the driveshaft is doing it. the driveshaft is just transferring the shake from the engine to the diff, or the other way.

are your rear brakes dragging or is your transmission acting weird, like maybe its binding and getting ready to go out?

Transmission not acting weird. That’s the only gear that has a thump is reverse. It’s smooth throughout the rest of them.

you say thump, so its hitting something on the bottom when you put it in to reverse? can you have someone shift it while you look under and see wahts hitting?

the only way, i can see, that its hitting is if the center support bearing it no good or a mount is bad.

It’s shaking the whole engine and transmission down to the differential

Truck ever been in an accident?

My first vehicle got in a bit of a fender bender on the front driver's side before I owned it. Replaced the bumper, fender, hood, etc etc and all was well but it shook like a MF in reverse..

.. until it was involved in another slight fender bender on the front passengers side. The 2nd accident fixed the shaking in reverse 100% lol.

I would look at the drivers side motor mount. If its broken there would be movement of the engine when going in reverse.

can you post some pics or a short video.

and crawl underneath, push/pull/shake stuff.
