the slo-vo build thread...

i think everybody is, its crazy....and here comes the $3.00 a gallon gas again to kill the economy again....

Tell me about it. I never volunteered for weekends before.

Hey Jon, how the hell do you drive without rear shocks? I just can't do it. Maybe cause I have some weight back there.

mine isnt bad at all, must be the difference in springs

Hmm, I figured the Chevy ones would be softer than my Ex springs.

they are pretty soft, about to be softer when the ranger leaf comes out

Overload leaf? You might want shocks after that.

nah, the chevy leafs have been re-arched...to help hoad the laod it has one leaf mixed in from my ranger pack, but i dont really need it now that i dont have much wait back there and wont be towing anything....

shocks will be on soon once i get to gregs to pick up some tubing

finally did a little work tonight, moved my stock tank out from under the truck and put it in the bed for now until i find a fuels cell...got tired of dragging it across everything

pics soon..

Get a B2 tank and skid plate.

b2 tank doesnt really fit the way i want...the tank will be in the bed against the cab...

i have an f-250 rear tank that will work for what i want but im going to wait to see what i can find as far as a cell before i do all the work to permanently mount it

So far I don't mind my tank in my bed, good area for the weight to be too.

yea i hated the tank being under the truck on that said...full tank it leaned...driveshaft rubbed the skid...dragged it across everything...

took me about an hour to extend my lines and wireing and strapped it down

good enough for now.

Does your gauge still work? When I extended my sending unit wires it stopped working. It either reads 100% full, or of I swap the wires, 100% empty. Posted a few places and saw where some guys had the same problem and noone seemed to get it figured out. I just watch my mileage now.

ya know i dont even think i checked it, if it doesnt id say its because of the resistance on the wire...the sender is basically an adj. resisitor and adding the wire in there of possibly different sizes mixes it up i bet...if that made any sense

im heading out for work now so ill have to check it this afternoon
