the slo-vo build thread...

there is no where in KY that I know of you can go (legally) where anything bigger than 37 and a good spotter will get you through. Hints why I am sticking with my 35's, and when they go, 37's. BTW, Rockers are HORRIBLE on the highway

Too big of tire takes the challenge out of it . I think 37s would be a good choice for the trails around here and not need a monster lift with a little trimming .

40's are just a dream, a 36-37 is about the biggest tire i want to run and still have it out on the road and highway and such

never been to Harlan or in Eastern Ky much then.....

i know of several places that a 40" tire is a must if you want to go there....and legally....

but i agree that 95% can be done with 35-37 tire.....

40's are not needed in Harlan.

A 37 will go a lonnnnngggg ways with a good suspension, which is what I'm shooting for... I'd rather have all the flex I can use and a 31 then have a stiff setup with a 44 anyday.

With the tight tree's around here I wouldn't want much more then I have now anyways

slo-vo got a question.

How did you do that exhaust set up? I think its a great idea and looks cool. if you dont mind.

not bad...

its all custom from the headman ypipe back...my muffler is tucked up above the framerail under the passenger side and just comes up and between the frame rail and the bed and comes out the side...pretty simple setup

Jon, since you've got the spare time, and it's a long trip for me to get there, I need you to grab a Y pipe from a V8 explorer for me...I went to PAP two days in a row, they had at least 12 explorers 96 up, but none were V8's:annoyed: I was looking for an exp motor as well (I'm doing a 302 swap on Skipper's TJ), but had to settle for a little less, should have come looking up there, I know your JY's are crawling with em:icon_thumby:

Glissons has one 5.0 Mountaineer up here, and thats the only one thats not a 4.0. Don't bother trying Liberty.
