Looks good. I like the bed sides that are there right now. Gives it kind of a... rugged look. And that tire carrier is very clever, in the way you made it pivot. I never would have thought of that.

For those bolts that it looks like you pull up/ down on to make the pins move so you can open/ get the gate off. Did you just drill out a hole then thread it or what?

Yea, i drilled and tapped out the holes to accept some 1/4" hex head bolts

Ok, thanks, I probably won't be doing this, but I might tell my cousin about it incase he wants to do anythgin like that.

Tapped, that was the word I was looking for, I couldn't remember what it was called.

Nice Job!!!

I like it.

I'd been thinking about redoing my spare tire rack. I think I'm gonna steal part of your idea

Fly at er bud! Thats why i posted it, you got any questions just ask:cool:

d35 with 35's?

sort of off topic but i was wondering what problems youve had keeping it together with 35's? are the stub shaft roller bearings getting wiped out,or the roller bearings in the diff that support the axle shafts?

Not to be a jerk, but the welds look like the shielding gas either got blown away or it was empty. (Sorry, I'm a professional welder, it's a love and a curse) I really like the way the box accents the rest of the truck to look like a dune runner.

Good eye. It was the night before our clubs annual long weekend trail run/camping weekend and i had to get it done. I was welding it outside and it was rather windy. Its all ground down and gone over properly now. And no offence was taken, it was a rush job on my part.

I havn't had any problems with the 35's on thr truck. No problems with spindle bearings, u joints, hubs, or wheel bearings as of yet (over a year of wheeling)
But i really keep up on my maintenance (repacks and check overs) as i'm a technician for a living.
