Both doors have arm rests that are destroyed. The passenger door wont open from the inside.

I found two part outs a 1991 and a 1988. 88 is in better shape.

Question... Will the 88 doors fit the 90 ?

Or should I just go with the 91 ?

Also... is the install a pita ? I mean I can do easy bolt ons.

Thanks for the help !!

The short answer is "Yes" the 88 doors will fit up to 92.

The long answer is the hardware does not swap over from the 88 but some think the earlier hardware (door opener in particular) was a better design. I had an 88 cab and I ended up using the 92 doors on it but found I was not able to swap the hardware between them so I stuck with the 92 interior and hardware. It was better in a number of ways...more insulation, better closing on the door vent at the bottom (that rectangular vent that allows the doors to close with the windows up). and the armrests were stronger.

EDIT: The hardware probably can be changed but the three bolt/screws holding the latching mechanism were locked in place on mine so I would have had to drill them out. Even with several rounds of lubricant and much work I only managed to get two out so abandoned that effort.

I tend to lean on the arm rest when adjusting my sitting position and I broke the driver side more than once. I ended up replacing the 88 armrest with the ones from my 95 suzuki and they fit perfectly...just a bit shorter so they only used the front two support screws.

not sure about the 91 door hardware but the interior panel is the same as the 92 so I'd imaging they are the same for the door lock and open mechanism...
