Please excuse the absurdly large images.:dunno:
This could go down as the fastest v8 swap in a ranger ever.
I purchased the ranger May 4, began tear down around May 8, by end the following week the engine was in. By May 18, clutch and trans were bolted up.
By May 29 I had already had it fired up. On the road May 31.
Drive train was from my 87 t top mustang that was totaled.
Custom steel driveshaft with spicer joints
20 gallon fuel cell
holley blue pump
AN lines and fittings
Holley carb
Edelbrok RPM Air gap intake
Patriot Tri-y headers

Unknown flow master knock offs
Prothane mustang motor mounts custom fitted and prothane trans mount
Tremec tko600 manual 5 speed
RAM HDX clutch
Custom external hydraulic clutch with AN ss braided lines
Griffin universal 3 row aluminum radiator

That looks really good, quite a sleeper! I hope you got lots of those little tires....

Richard

Can't not chirp the tires a bit from a stand still. The gears are 3.55, first, second and third have a hard time keeping the tires planted even at 1/3 throttle.

looks really good:icon_thumby::icon_thumby:

but, I think RangerSVT ( Rick ) has the honor of fastest V-8 swap....IIRC started on Friday was finished and driving to exhaust shop Monday....that was with factory AC and FI...

Jesus Christ! Haha, download GIMP (Linux based Photoshop) for free and resize those badboys! Otherwise looks great man!

There's a slide show.
This is all from my phone, imageshack was supposed to re-size them automatically. Not sure why it didn't.

Did that guy sleep or eat? Jeez, I spent almost all day and most nights to pull the engine and drop the new one it and it took a week.

She got some meat on her today. She can finally hook.
Set of american racing torq thrust 2s, 15x10 and 15x8s with 295/50/r15 in the back.
The back spacing is a bit much on the rear, but I plan on running a narrow 9 inch soon.
