The Lightning should have some pretty serious street cred too though.
IMO the way the Lightning looks is complex.
Yeah, it doesn't look weird.
But it is also still a body on frame truck. It has very respectable payload and towing capacities.
Also Ford isn't a startup, it literally has the best selling vehicle in the US to borrow parts from... so financially it makes sense to borrow parts from what already exists and owns the market rather than inventing a new wheel.
The Rivian looks ok compared to a Cybertruck (honestly that is a pretty low bar) but as far as a truck goes... meh. Mainly its all plastic.
Electric is not to the level to do what I do with my truck... cornstalks and brush will make short work of plastic bumper covers though and that is nothing new.
