It appears, at least from here, that a new 18.5" barrel would run you about 3/4 the price of a new Remington 870 or Mossy 500... so honestly, I'd just buy a second gun...

Seems that is the way it goes, even for my Mossberg a rifled barrel is about half the price of a new combo gun.

same thing with the rifle barrel....except....don't cut it on a taper....
