Well let's try this again. Tire carrier 3.0 coming soon. This time I got some 3/16 2×2 square tubing and some 1/4 plate. Little beefer than before. Oh yeah. Got our guy at work to weld this time haha. Hopefully this will handle the abuse. I'm hoping to cut a little skid plate out of the material when I'm done. Weld it tothe bottom for a little more protection when dropping it on big rocks.

Cleaned it all up. Got fresh oil and filter. I need to do spark plugs and change the diff fluids next.

Speaking of spark plugs, I probably should check mine to make sure they aren't rust locked into the head. Water hasn't been a problem but, the first time I don't check...

I've been grinding trying to get the truck sorted and ready for about a 10-day trip with the Vagabonds. So I've made a coupe upgrades. I added a second AGM battery. So now I have almost 200 amp hours of battery. Add and change a couple of times a bed slide. ( I'm still not sure I like it the way it is) Added on board air system with 1.5 gallon tank. Don't go far, but it does give me a way to blow out the air filter and such. Reworked my water system so it is portable. Pump is now in a box that can be moved around and also used to refill tank out of a stream when off grid. Moved my spare inside the bed instead of the bumper. The new SUV tent had it hanging out in the middle of the living space. I have accumulated all the parts to redo my whole system with Victron components. I dont think im gonna have time to get it redone before I have to leave out. I've also "customized" a $100 ladder rack to go over the soft topper. Then, I added a basket for extra storage. Yeah, the 5-foot bed has its limits. Overall, I think i have it all sorted, so next weekend, I will do some PM to the truck and get the camping gear packed up and ready to throw in the truck.

Just remove the back seat and throw it in your basement. Then make a platform to replace it… that’s what I’m working on today.

A lot of what you are talking about here I have in. "A make due with what I have" situation. It's going to be all I can do just to get my gear situated in time.
