well past few weeks holyford86 an myself have built a 88 b2 into a tough truck.
i purchased the truck for 300 an the owner let me know that the tranny was slipping(a4ld) motor was running like poop an the electric 4x4 system didnt work. well after completely gutting the truck, fixed the tranny cooler lines so their were not any pinholes , added an o2 sensor so the motor would run great an use vise grips to keep it locked in 4lo. we have ourself a FANTASTIC little tough truck.
mods that have been done to it.
custom snorkle ran into the cab
lincolin locked rear end
welded u joints in the front 28 shafts
custom rear spring hangers
fender trimming an 31 mud rovers
every thing else is pretty much left stock.
these are a few pics of what it looked like when we brough it home.
what it looks like now
its been through the course 5 times so far an the a4ld has taking one hell of a beating as well as the front 28.. after i spit the caps the first practice run i welded the caps in the shafts an its been great so far.. once the 28 goes ive got a complete 35 to put in it.. the a4ld has been holding up the the abuse of it being shifted from 1st,2nd an drive only down fall i have to say is the reverse likes to work when it wants. only other problem that we ran into with this truck was the first run i lost power steering.. lines were shot an decided thats how it was going to be running with out powersteering.
these are a few videos of it running the course..

this little truck has impressed a TON of people. the little 2.9 is keeping up with the big ole 8 cylinders
enjoy!
