Getting rid of the factory ugly one for my own custom one. Need to make room on the driver's side for the ignition box and coil, so I'll build this tank and make a smaller washer fluid tank and mount it somewhere else.

wow!! looks real good! i might be pm'ing you in the spring when it's time to fab up a new front bumper for my 1st gen ranger, lol

That would be fun! :D

Truth is, I started with a different design, but my homemade brake wouldn't bend it properly, causing me to be 1/2" off:annoyed:, but I worked around it and got this.

I could, but there are 2 problems.

1. This is scrap aluminum from work welded with work's TIG welder, using either for monetary gain is a big no-no in policy. Once in a while for a friend is acceptable, but for a customer base is considered conflict of interest and just won't fly.

2. This is a simple design. If I wanted to make it for you guys, I would want it more complex and easier to install. Right now, I have to chop off a corner to clear the wheel well, but I think it should fit.

I got this good by a man named Warren who TIG welded for 40 years, taught me all the basics and techniques. Then at work (L&M Radiator), I have to TIG weld as much as 50ft a shift, so I learned real quick what worked and what didn't work.

Boy, it's hard on the wrist.........................

What I would like to do is, let say you're doing a conversion, motor, turbo, whatever, and you had an aluminum radiator or intercooler to use in it, but the thing doesn't have mounting tabs, or the corners are hitting, or there's a crack or unwanted hole in the thing.

You tell me what you need done, and I could do it all for a cost of shipping. I dunno, I just like doing stuff for people.

I wish I could weld 1/10th as good as that. HOT DAMN... :icon_thumby: Keep it up!

I knew this would happen. Seems like the tank is a tad too tall to clear the hood closing because it hits the wheel well.

I got a fix for this, what I'm going to do is cut a huge chunk out of the bottom corner of the tank, bend up another piece, and weld that in place of it. I already have a line "traced" to where I want the cut.

Should have pics up soon..................
