My boyfriend and his friends go off-roadin' for fun in Southern Indiana and Kentucky. I tag along with my boyfriend (disciplerocks) and his Bronco II, but now I have an Explorer of my own. For now it will be a work vehicle, but who knows what the future holds.
Bought my 1996 Explorer XLT 4.0 OHV, Auto, 4x4 on February 23, 2012 for $650. It was stuck in 4-low but we got it home, slowly but surely.
After getting down the road a ways, he tried to by-pass the 4-low by manually changing it into 2WD but it didn't work.
This is my Explorer by my boyfriend's B2.
Getting started on the transfer case swap. Installing a manual transfer case.
While he works on the hard stuff, I changed the air filter and wiper blades.
A look under my hood.
Second day of having it home and in total we changed- air filter, transfer case, transmission fluid & filter, wiper blades, spark plugs, oil change & filter. It starts and runs in first gear. Have to drop the transmission pan again. Reused original hardware on the filter by accident.
After a day of that...here we go
