Hello, my names Jason, I'm from Maine and I've been researching and collecting info. for years and now it's finally time to commit to a ranger build. I have a 2002 4x4 ranger supercab 4 liter auto with only 60k miles or a 96 4x4 ranger supercab 4 liter auto with 60k miles as my starting point. I have another 2002 supercab stepside 4x4, a 94 supercab 4x4 4 liter standard a 92,96,97 and 98 explorer 4x4. The 92 is a 4 liter with standard trans and 92k miles. The 96 has a blown ( knocking like crazy ) 4 liter. The 97 has the 5 liter with 142k miles. The 98 has the 4 liter with 107k miles. I also have several f150,f250 and f350 trucks all years and makes including a 89 f250 that has the fuel injected 351 that may be the power plant.
Obviosly even though I'm starting and am now committed to this build I'm still very much undecided as to which way I'm going to go with it. I know it's going to be 8 cylinders, lifted and moded and that's my starting point. Any input from the start and along the way will be much appreciated. I'm going to post pictures of all my vehicles and the process of the build. For now thanks for reading and I'll post more info and try to learn how to use this forum the way it should be.

Welcome! You sure have quite a collection of victems to be and donors. Good place to start is up in the tech library and then jump into the V-8 swap section down below.

Thanks, I've spent enough hours reading to have built a few already. I've built several 4x4 v8 s10's, full size trucks and 2 wheel drive rangers so I have some experience but still it's been trial and error in my own back yard. I'm trying to gather all of my old build picture's to post. There's not a whole lot of fabricators or ambitious builders in my neck of the woods so these forums are much appreciated.
