I have said many times that the 80' Rangers are the best looking. I think it's true for the Chevy's also.

Square bodied trucks and SUVs have always looked best to me.

One of my family bought a Ranger new in 83-84. Now I see my 94 in which they tried to have it more 'aero' or something like that. Just doesn't have the appeal of those straight, crisp lines.

After the original square bodies, the Rangers didn't really look all that great to me until the last generation of the original small truck. Still not as good as a square body but not horrible either. The 2019+ Rangers look ok, depending on the angle you look at them at. Head on is the best, from the side it looks like the European market it was built for.

I liked my 88 F150. I didn’t really like the Chevy trucks of that era nearly as much.

I had a ‘91 S10 Blazer for a few years in HS and early college. It was 2 door with the 4.3 and spare tire carrier. I really liked it and would love to have another. It was nice having a tailgate. It was a good truck except for the push Button 4wd control.

My 98 sonoma was a great truck. It was baically the chevy version of my ranger, single cab, five speed, stepside amd a really good little truck.

My step mom had a late 80s s10 blazer. It was four door and had the 4.3 v6. It was a good luttle suv but got terrible gas mileage

The ‘70’s.
80’s is ok compared to todays stuff.
I havent cared for the ford full-size look since the 1997 model year.
Rangers- Gen 3 , the ‘93-‘97s are my favorites.

The 80's brought revolutionary changes to the automobile industry. The K-Car saved Dud. Ford brought out cars like the Escort, Tempo and Taurus, the Taurus being the most notable. And, then there were the minivans.

The 80's also saw the switch to FWD in most cars, and fuel injection.

The 1980s 1st generation Ranger is my favorite, I even like the Aerostar (though the ribs popping off on the cargo vans isn't cool). I dislike the 89-90 Ranger looks, though I did think my 1997 looked nice, which is one of the reasons I bought it.

I was a Chevy salesman in the early 1980s when the S-10 Blazer came out, I avoided selling that piece of junk with it's 2.8L to people. I do not think I ever sold one, ever, new or used. There was basically nothing I liked about it, including it's looks. You get used to snow plowing with various years of full sized Blazers and then you sit for the 1st time in the S-10 Blazer = YUCK. It was Blazer in name only. Many 1980s GMs were horrid pieces of junk, I bought a brand new 1981 Camaro with the V-6 and CCC, and sued GMAC and Roger Smith to return it after it lit itself on fire for the last time (with me) in a snow storm. I had to walk with my girl friend back to her house, to get picked up by my mommy in her 1963 Impala in a snow storm. Then I one upped myself by taking a 1980 Citation X-11 as a swap for the Camaro, at least the bumblebee ended up coming eventually with life time free brakes.

Chevettes with the the Isuzu 1.8L diesel on the other hand was awesome, even though it did 0-60 in 18+ seconds with the auto. I would sell that combo to anyone and did, though the MT was much better.

I want a truck that looks like a truck with a more or less flat grill and not something that looks like a car with a shorty bed on the back of it.

Tell me that these arnt sexier then anything built in the last 25 years....
